USS Somerset Assists with Holiday Meals

Helping the Home Front and the USS Somerset celebrated an exciting year of 2021 together.  It’s been a packed fall and holiday season!  We gave out backpacks filled with back-to-school items and, as the holidays unfolded, we gave out Holiday Dinners to deserving sailors with families.

The USS Somerset Chaplain told us, I want you to know how appreciative the crew of the USS Somerset is for the generous donation of Thanksgiving meals this year. I could not believe there was such a need on our base as other service organizations are pausing operations due to Covid. I am grateful for what Helping the Home Front continues to do for our military personnel.

Coastline Church in Oceanside, CA also partnered with Helping the Home Front to make the Holiday Dinner Distribution happen.  Their team says, Thank you all for an unbelievably successful event! It was an honor for our church to be able to serve these deserving families!
