Partnering with local churches is a model for CBN. When Helping the Home Front was launched, working with churches became an essential part of this outreach.
The church discovers the need, and fills the important role of hands-on ministry that the family requires. CBN comes alongside and meets the financial need for these families who have given so much for our nation. Our goal is to help them understand that their church, their community, and CBN are behind them. We want to see them succeed.
Here are some of the ways we have helped:
- Emergency travel expenses
- Assistance with medical bills and equipment
- Mortgages
- Utilities
- Home repairs
- Heating and air conditioning units
- Appliances
- Furniture
- Vehicle repairs
- Back-to-school items
- Moving expenses
- Assistance with adoption fees
Helping the Home Front’s vision includes partnering with ministries who are helping service members deal with Post Traumatic Stress. Our nation is in the midst of the longest period of war in history. The stress from multiple deployments on the front lines has taken its toll on our warriors. The strain of their work is felt by every member of the family. HHF gives donations to ministries with high success rates of helping warriors heal and bring their marriages and families whole again with a Christ centered approach.
CBN is headquartered in Virginia Beach near several military installations. But Virginia Beach was just the beginning. Helping the Home Front started expanding and continues developing relationships across the country to help more service members. Here’s where Helping the Home Front has provided support so far:
Realizing the role of the church to the members of its congregation, CBN wants to support the church in meeting the needs specifically of its active duty/transitioning out military families. Once you identify a military family in need, contact us to begin the review process. CBN provides the financial resources to the church to assist the family. There is no financial obligation for the church or family. To complete the process, a follow up email accounting from the church of how the funds were used is required.
