Recently, Helping the Home Front was honored to support the 10th annual MURPH CHALLENGE in Virginia Beach, VA. “The Murph” is a fundraiser to honor fallen Navy Seal Michael Murphey who was killed in Afghanistan. The 11th Transportation Battalion at Fort Story (near Va Beach) invited local first responders to challenge themselves to push their physical limits for a good cause. It’s a 1-mile run followed by 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air-squats and another 1-mile run! Since it began, Murph Challenge has raised more than $2 million in scholarship funds towards children’s educational needs. It was an exhilarating day! Helping the Home Front was honored to be there!
