Sgt. Matthew met Charise while both were serving on a missions trip in the Philippines. The fell in love and got married. Charise’s paperwork to move to the U.S. fell right into place. But Matthew didn’t have the money to move his new bride to Hawaii where he was currently stationed. 1st Baptist Wahiawa asked CBN for help. Helping the Home Front immediately wired the church money so they could arrange for Charise to come to her new home. CBN also provided extra funds so the newlyweds could set up their new household.
Here is what Pastor Steve had to say about CBN

“As a local church with many military families, we constantly see the challenges and sacrifices that are made on our nations’ behalf. As a church family, we provide spiritual food and community support. By partnering with CBN’s HELPING THE HOME FRONT, we have also been able to see the blessing of financial burdens being lifted. We praise God for all who have helped us in assisting these amazing families.May God bless all who helped to make this possible.”
